COLUMBIA, S.C.---The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is offering four new specialty license plates.

The Boy Scouts of America, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and the Surfrider Foundation plates are now available at DMV offices across the state.

The fees for the Boy Scout and MS plates are $30 every two years, in addition to the regular vehicle registration fee. The AKA plate carries a
$70 surcharge, and the Surfrider fee is $65, plus the regular fee.

All except the AKA plate are available to everyone. You must be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha to get the sorority plate.

You can check with the South Carolina DMV for more information.
