AUGUSTA, Ga -- The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested the man suspected of killing three people this morning.
30 year old Adrian Tywan Hargrove, AKA: “Goose” is now at the Richmond County Law Enforcement Center charged with three counts of murder.
Two of the victims were found at Bennock Mill Road inside their home. Sheriff Ronnie Strength says the victims are 45-year-old Andrew Hartley and 46-year-old Sharon Hartley-Peterson. Coroner Grover Tuten says the couple were stabbed multiple times, their bodies were found on the floor of a bedroom inside the home.
Strength says the couple's 18-year-old daughter, Allyson Pederson, who is 5 months pregnant, was found dead off of Lock and Dam Road. She was found by firefighters who responded to a brush fire. Her body was badly burned.
Coroner Grover Tuten says the fire department originally responded to Lock and Dam Road for a brush fire call. When they arrived, they discovered the body. Tuten says the female's body is badly burned and unrecognizable. Fingerprinting test are being done at this time to identify the woman, if necessary, dental records may be used to yield an identitty early next week.
Investigators say all three appeared to have been killed within 12 hours of deputies responding to the Bennock Mill Road crime scene around 11:30 am to 12:00 this afternoon.
Investigators have recovered one possible murder weapon at this time.
A massive search by the Richmond County Sheriff's Office's Major Case Squad searched for Hargrove for more than six hours. He was taken into custody around 6:15 this evening.
