LAST DAY FOR ADVANCE VOTING

Today is the last day of advance voting for people in Georgia.
If you can't make it to the Board of Elections Office in your county, you will have to vote like everyone else on February 5th.
That day is called Super Tuesday because more than 20 other states hold their primary that day as well.
Advance voting closes tonight at 6:00.

WEAPONS FOUND DURING SCHOOL SEARCH TO STOP BOMB THREATS

After several bomb threats in just the past week, school leaders are trying to put a stop to them by doing searches at Glenn Hills High and Glenn Hills Middle.
They're looking for cellphones used to call in the threats, but a search turned up more than just that.
They found a box cutter and an unnamed illegal substance.
Investigators say they've already received three calls from people who think they recognize voices from the threats.
There's also talk of a reward to anyone who reports someone making bomb threat calls.

JUVENILES ARRESTED IN CAR THEFT

Three juveniles are in big trouble with the law this morning, accused of stealing a truck.
North Augusta Public Safety officers say they stole the truck from K-Mart in North Augusta and ended up at the Kroger.
The young men had a pit bull mix with them, and the dog bit an officer.
The dog was shot and killed, but the officer is going to be just fine.

ELDERLY WIFE ACCUSED OF SHOOTING ELDERLY HUSBAND

Investigators now say Fred Ansley's own wife is the one who pulled the trigger in the shooting death of the 77-year-old Thomson man.
News 12 has learned 69-year-old Helen Ansley used a small caliber gun and shot her husband once in the upper chest.
Investigators had scheduled an autopsy for Thursday, but there's still no word on the results this morning.

INSURANCE FRAUD

You might want to double check your coverage this morning.
Georgia's State Insurance Commissioner says your life insurance policy could be in jeopardy.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office arrested Carl Barcus Thursday morning.
Investigators are accusing the former Atlanta life insurance agent of cheating customers out of money..
At least one Augusta Man says Barcus took $150 a month from him for years.
He has no policy to show for it.
Deputies believe other victims could still be out there.

NORTH AUGUSTA ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES

Three people are recovering in the hospital with serious injuries this morning after a car wreck in North Augusta.
Two cars crashed around six o'clock Thursday night in front of the Food Lion on Highway 25.
The accident blocked traffic in both directions for about an hour while crews cleaned up the scene.

AIKEN FATAL

One person died in a single-car crash in Aiken County Thursday morning.
It happened on Highway 278 east of Beech Island.
27 year old Lamaas Barfield lost control and was thrown from his car.
He was not wearing a seatbelt.
