ATHENS, GA -- Twenty-one-year-old Army Spc. Evan Marshall of Athens has died, while serving in Iraq.

Marshall was among five U.S. military personnel killed in an ambush in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

Family members say Marshall was a 2004 graduate of Cedar Choals High school.

His father says he was on his second tour of duty in Iraq when he was killed Monday.

The Army says the five were killed by an explosion in their convoy and small arms fire.

Friends and family members gathered at the Marshalls' new house
in Watkinsville Wednesday night.
