BEAUFORT, S.C.---A 37-year old woman and her 22-year old boyfriend landed in jail after deputies say they lied about her expecting quintuplets.
Nancy Cantu and Juan Salvador Solis were arrested after an ultrasound revealed she was not pregnant.
Both were charged with obtaining goods under false pretenses.
Earlier they had told neighbors they needed help preparing for the arrival of five babies, which supposedly were due in mid-February.
People sent them about $5,000.
Now they each face up to five years in prison.
