AUGUSTA, Ga. --- Rosetta Hannah shops at the Family Dollar two to three times a week. She said the violence needs to stop.

"Oh I hate that. They shouldn't do that. They should get them a job and stop stealing," Rosetta Hannah said.

She's talking about a recent series of armed robberies. The first one, on January 4th at the Family Dollar on Milledgeville Road. The second armed robbery, on January 8th, this time at the Citgo Quick Mart on Deans Bridge Road. And the third, on January 15th at the Dollar General also on Deans Bridge Road.

"All these older people and younger people that come shop here and they can't come because they scared somethings gonna happen to them." Hannah said.

Investigators were able to link the robberies through surveillance video, and the suspects were using the same guns and wearing similar clothing. Investigators said interviews with the suspects revealed they're part of a Waynesboro based gang called "K 9", which is modeled after the national "Bloods".

"The purpose of the robberies was part of a progression through their gang to achieve rank," Lt. Scott Peebles said.

Four suspects are now behind bars in Richmond County. Investigators said Donovan Owens, Rocky Thomas, Johnathan Walker, and Darren White are all charged with armed robbery. White, Walker, and Owens are also facing a long list of charges.

"They need to stay in jail. And all that stealing, it's not necessary," Hannah said.

Investigators said there is a good possibility there may have been more people involved in these robberies. If you have any information, you are asked to call the Sheriff's Office.
