Two more men linked to Leaphart murder

AIKEN, S.C.---The Aiken County Sheriff's Office tells News 12 two more men have been linked to the murder of Jeremy Leaphart.

18-year-old Ronnie Bowers, Jr. and 20-year-old Sheldon Oakman are charged with Accessory After the Fact - Murder. Investigators say Bowers and Oakman were present when Frankie Gantt shot and killed Leaphart, then helped Gantt move and hide the body.

Gantt is charged with kidnapping and murder. Deputies say he drove Leaphart to an abandoned building and shot and killed him.

Leaphart's body was found Tuesday under a pile of debris at an abandoned house.

Bowers, Oakman and Gantt are being held at the Aiken County Detention Center. The sheriff's office expects to make more arrests.
