Honors for News 12 reporter and former anchor

AUGUSTA, Ga.---The Augusta chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference held a luncheon Monday in honor of its founder, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

News 12's city government reporter Chris Thomas received the "Reporter of the Year" award from the SCLC.

Augusta Mayor Deke Copenhaver also received Unity Award and
the late James Brown's son, Daryl Brown, was presented with the Humanitarian Award.

Also, Ebony Magazine has named former News 12 Reporter and News
12 First at Five co-anchor Domonique Benn to a national honor.

She's been picked as one of 30 talent young adults on the rise. Her picture and the article are in the February issue of Ebony.

Domonique Benn is now anchoring and reporting at WTKR-TV in Norfolk, Va.
