U.S. Attorney Edmund Booth reported 21 people arrested in the
recent undercover sting involving gangs, drugs and guns in Augusta
have pleaded guilty to federal crimes.
No word yet on when they will be sentenced.
There are still 39 more suspects who face charges in federal court.
Operation Augusta Ink was a 16-month undercover investigation run out of the Color Tyme Tattoo parlor on Tobacco Rd.
It was under the supervision of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshal's Service.
100 suspects were taken into custody. Some face charges in
state court as well.
