Mother Nature doesn't deliver anticipated snow

January 18, 2008 (Updated January 21, 2008)

Weather models hinted at some wet snow for the area Saturday afternoon, but it didn't happen.

Rain moved into the CSRA overnight, but temperatures were too warm for any frozen precipitation. A shot of very cold air Saturday afternoon could have changed the rain to snow as the precipitation ended, but it did not.

There were reports of snowfall in the wee hours of the morning, but it didn't accumulate, and likely most people were asleep and missed out.
