American Lung Association gives SC an "F"

SOUTH CAROLINA -- South Carolina gets an "F" on the annual report card from the American Lung Association. The group doesn't like the state's seven-cent a pack cigarette sales tax, lowest in the nation.

It also says teenagers can get cigarettes easily, the state has no smoke-free workplace law, and the state isn't spending enough on anti-smoking efforts. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
