AUGUSTA, Ga. --- It's a sight many of you will encounter this weekend. Lots of traffic. And cars, bumper to bumper.
"Traffic is pretty rough. I came down Wrightsboro Road and I'm going back I-20. We'll see which is best," Elaine Carter said.
The shopping bags are stuffed with goodies and the trunks are filled with presents. People all in a hurry to put the finishing touches on their Christmas shopping.
"It's really bad in Electronics and in Toys, and when you go to check out. It's really busy right there," Lisa Remington said.
And it was a busy day over at h.h.gregg too. They opened their doors 30 minutes early because customers were standing outside.
"Were expecting a whole lot of traffic. The parking lots are slammed from one side to the other. But were expecting a lot of people coming in all day from open to close," Josh Lumme said.
Some of the most popular gifts this season are plasma TV's, MP3 players, GPS systems, and digital photo frames. Lynn Pawlak and her daughter are scouting around.
"Well the flat screen TV's that we've been looking at, pretty much for a little bit and maybe a Wii," Brittany Pawlak said.
"She'd like to get a flat screen TV for her bedroom, is what she's looking for," Lynn Pawlak said.
They spent the day going to different electronic stores to compare prices.
"This is like our second time out checking on them. So to make sure this is what you really want. This is the right size, so were making sure we've done our checks and everything," Pawlak said.
She said tonight is the last of her Christmas shopping.
"Yeah. This is it. This is the end of it right now. Tonight," Pawlak said.
