Principal injured while trying to stop fight

December 20, 2007

A local principal will spend the first part of her winter break recovering from an injury after trying to break up a fight at school.

The principal of Cross Creek High School, Lynn Warr, stepped in to help but got caught in the middle.

Doctors treated her for a head injury, but she is back at home now.

She should be just fine.

The students involved in the fight are facing charges.

To the "little" children Heaven Brown and Jabal Terry, glad to see that you are trying to "speak out", but, I have already done my time in school and GRADUATED with honors, not only from high school, but COLLEGE as well, and now I am a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force stationed in San Antonio, visiting in Augusta for the holidays. Hopefully you all will make it that far. Youngsters today think that fighting and carrying on is cute, "off the chain" and whatever else, when it is pure ignorance. An old saying says, "One bad apple spoils a bunch" and that's the truth. The good students have to work ten times HARDER to prove that their school isn't bad, while the little fools are running around causing chaos. So, its all about being smart and responsible, not dumb and stupid. And the crazy part about it, some of the heathens are actually smart, but they feel like they have to put on a front around their friends to fit in and that's just sad.

Ha, Lady J talk about incorrect grammer. It looks like you're the one that needs to proof read beforehand. I absolutely agree with Jabal in everything he has said. I am in no way justifying the behavior of the students at our school. It is simply my belief that everyone at Cross Creek gets a bad rep just because of the ignorant students. It all boils down to AYP. Ever since our school made AYP, we have had all the bad kids shipped to our school. If you want to get personal about it, take a look. I'm pretty sure that most of the students who get into fights or cause some sort of chaos at our school are students that were shipped from another school. As an editor of our school newspaper, I'm sure this will be a top story. I just can't wait to get our next issue out.. and the truth at that. To Mrs. Warr: I wish you the best and hope you recover soon. Merry Christmas!

My brother Jaye Moss is correct!!! Ms. Warr is a great principal and the school has gotten a little out of control sense the leaving of MR. MOORE!!! The new ass't. principal ahead of discipline, MR. RICKEY LUMPKIN, is nothing compared to Jason Moore not even close!!! I love CCHS, and it is no other school in Richmond County, besides the magnet schools, I would attend as a high school student!!! WE LOVE MS. WARR and MRS. MCRAE, they are the best ones there! I just hope they can get the kids under control after the break!! Not only that but some of those teachers need reality checks as well, with there attitudes, MRS. CONSTANCE HARRISON on the math hall is the main one!! And to Lady J everyone makes mistakes in typing, maybe you should go back to school and you would know that!!

Everybody knows don't try to break up a fight. Eventually they will get tired and give up.

Well, Cross Creek can't be that much of a good school, because "Class of 2006" and "Jaye Moss" got a few misspellings. Need to go back or get on the "5 year Plan"? Before commenting on anything, proof read and double check everything, I know that is still fresh in your little minds.

First Of all kids now are gettin out of control and thet need to trested like little kids because thats how they are acting, there was no reason that student should have had a weapon on caampus. I think that Mr, Moore should team back up with cross creek. Cross Creek is a good school dontlet these out of control kids mess that up. I am A 2006 Graduate from there and its a great school. And To Mrs .Warr Keep up The Great Workl

Well I attend school at Cross Creek High School, and that was only one fight that happened at our school yesterday. It feels as if we are not safe there since the leaving of Ass't. Principal, Jason Moore, last year. I feel this is only the start of something that is only going to fet worst after the reak. I due hope Ms. Warr gets better soon because she is truely a GREAT pricipal!!

Ms. War is a good principal and it is a shame the students act so badly. Get well soon and Merry Christmas.
