AUGUSTA, Ga.---A scheduled bond hearing for 22-year old Jeanette Hawes is canceled. News 12 has family reaction. "It got to get better for me," says Janice Hawes, a 46 year old mother of 9. One of Janice's children, Jeanette Hawes, is now in jail charged with murdering her two children...Jordan and Shakayla.

"I know God won't put no more on me than I can bear. Sometimes God allows you to go through things for a reason. I don't understand it but God will show me by and by what he's trying to say," says Janice Hawes.

Janice's daughter was scheduled to go before a judge Wednesday for a bond hearing. The public defenders office canceled that hearing. Meanwhile, News 12 is learning more about Jeanette's mental condition. Janice says, "She thinks I got the kids...cause she saying I got to get home to my mom house because my mom got my kids."

Jeanette Hawes is being kept at the Law Enforcement Center in a medical portion of the jail with about 15 or 20 other women under constant supervision. Her mother says that's where she should stay.

"You know I want my daughter home, but I feel like she's not in her right mind right now. I know that's my daughter...I lover her...and her sisters and brothers love her."

Janice says it is that tough love that allows a mother to feel comfortable with the thought of her daughter sitting behind bars. "I just feel right now that she should get the psychological help that she need and the treatment before she come home."

this girl is really trying to play stupid. And for one her mom looks all happy waiting for her daughter to come home. HELLOOOO what about the kids?? I know they really dont think shes coming home. I still never heard her excuse for doing it. But I do know she already had her kids takin away once so why did they give them back?? she just got them back a few weeks before and her own mom said she wasnt watchin the kids cause she just got them back when she tried to dump them off on her. No one see how much the kids had sufffered and to look their mom in the face while she hurt them. I still think about it. That is soooo sad. NO SHE SHOULD NOT GET OUT EVEN IF SHES MENTAL. IF SHES THAT MENTAL THEN SHE NEEDS TO BE PUT TO SLEEP HER SELF

THEY KEEP SAYING THOSE KIDS LIKE THEY WAS NEVER FAMILY. ALL OF THEM ARE SICK IN THE HEAD. SHE PLAYIN CRAZY BUT SHE WASNT CRAZY ENOUGH TO KILL HERSELF! AND FOR THE FAMILY U WILL SEE HER AGAIN IN HELL.

I don't know if the "mother" remembers but her daughter did kill her own kids.Coming home is not an option. And then you want the leftover money. You are disgraceful as your daughter to want to enjoy that extra money while you could have avoided the whole situation.Your grandkids 1&3 were murdered for NO EXCUSABLE reason and money and your daughter coming home is all that you are thinking about.PATHECTIC!I have 5 kids and love each and every one on good and bad days.I can't even amagine looking at them in their face and stabbing the life out of them.

Ms Hawes need to stay in jail and they need to hurry up and have her trial and she does not need to be put in prison and be on death row for years and years. She need to have a mental eval and if found competent to stand trial then she need to get the death penalty.

I think that she should not have killed her kids no matter what the circumstances were and i know she feels bad for what she did and she should and i know the lord is very upset but everything happens for a reason but i don't excuse her for what she has done and she should be punished because she know what the **** she was doing if she was having a bad time and couldn't take care of her kids you have family girl ******* use it don't kill something that you think it;s gon solve a problem if she was in front of me right now i would slap the **** out of her cuz that don't make no since at all. murder is wrote all over your name and ain't nobody gon respect you for what you done but guess what you just made a name for your self the gurl who killed her kids.

THIS GIRL IS FAR FROM CRAZY. THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF A POOR EXCUSE OF A MOTHER! I HAVE A CHILD OF MY OWN AND I KNOW NOON ESHOULD NEVER SAY NEVER BUT I WILL NEVER LET MY PROBLEMS GET THAT BAD TO WHERE I WOULD HARM MY SON! THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE THAT WOULD TAKE A CHILD BEFORE THEY SEE HIM OR HER GET HURT. SO MENTAL ISSUES I THINK NOT. YEAH SHE MAY HAVE BEEN MENTAL TO NOT KILL HERSELF! NOT ONLY SHOULD SHE BE PUNISHED BUT THE GRANDMOTHER, THE SISTER THAT DROVE HER TO AIKEN AS WELL AS THIS GARY CHARACTER THAT WANTS TO GET ALL THE SPOTLIGHT SHOULD GET THE SAME PUNISHMENT AS SHE DOES!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen to that Mad and she's got her Mama out there doing it too. She wants to come home, yeah right. I've not been too pleased since this family wanted the left over funds for themselves. They should be ashamed and I don't think they understand the gravity about what she did or they're just playing.

now she playing the mental card. she knows she killed her kids. she isn't crazy, she is in her right mind. this is just a plot she is trying to use to get off for what she has done. it won't work
