Power Bill Rate Hike

December 19, 2007; News 12 This Morning

Georgia Power customers can expect to dig a little deeper into their pockets the next time they go to pay their power bill.

Tuesday, members of the Public Service Commission approved a rate hike.

Electric bills will increase, on the average, about five dollars a month per customer.

You should notice the chnage when you get your statement in January.
After this increase, rates won't go up again for another three years.

I wonder if Georgia Power and the Public Service Commission could break this increase into increments I understand such as....a hamburger and fries, half a haircut, A gallon of milk with a loaf of bread. If they need help with this I'd recommend Fred Russell because he's got this kind of thing down to a science.
