AUGUSTA, Ga. -- After months of waiting, an Augusta woman finally has a big project complete on her house and it's all thanks to Call For Action.

Not too long ago, Gail Kelly was up to her ears in frustration because some work on her house wasn't finished. So she turned to Call For Action.

Every time Gail looks at her house these days, she's breathing a sigh of relief. It wasn't too long ago much of her home wasn't finished. She had hired a contractor she had used before.

"He did some good work for me before,” she says.

She had paid more than $10,000 dollars to have her house renovated inside and out. But the work never got done.

"He started in November of 2006. By June, he still wasn't finished," Kelly says.

The interior work was done, but the siding and the overhang of the roof were not.

Her money was gone and the job wasn't complete. She didn't know what to do.

"I finally saw an advertisement on Channel 12 for Call For Action," she says.

So she called the number and talked to one of the volunteers named Lexis.

"She (Lexis) called the contractor. Within a month, he came out and put the siding on and did everything he's supposed to do," Gail said.

Just one call to Call For Action and Gail's house was fixed. It saved her the thousands of dollars it would have cost to hire someone else.

"If they hadn't called, the siding wouldn't be on my house. Thank you Call For Action for getting the siding on my house," she said.
