AUGUSTA, GA---Two new Augusta commissioners were voted into office during Tuesday night's run-off election.
With all but provisional ballots counted, Corey Johnson leads over Freddy Handy in District 2 and Alvin Mason leads over incumbent Bernard Harper in District 4.
Johnson will fill the seated being vacated by Marion Williams. He got 786 votes to Handy's 718 votes.
Mason beats Harper in District 2 by 68 votes. He got 926 votes to Harper's 724 votes.
Turnout for the run-off election was about 14% with one precinct in District 4 getting just one voter.
