AUGUSTA, Ga.---Women who've been released from jail have a new option in Augusta. It's called the CSRA Women's Empowerment Center. It teaches ex-convicts how to get a job, rebuild their families and get back on their feet after incarceration.
It's a local branch of the national reentry program.
Classes will also be offered for the women: "Self-esteem classes, parenting classes, and we're going to teach them how to go out there and be that woman again," said director Deborah Burns.
It's a three-month program, and it's free for all women who qualify.
