Tennille, Ga. – A Public Hearing Open House to discuss the Georgia DOT’s proposed plans for Columbia County is scheduled for December 6, 2007, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The open house will be held at Greenbriar High School, located at 5114 Riverwood Parkway, Evans.
The project proposes to reconstruct and extend Willliam Few Parkway, beginning at the existing William Few Parkway, north of State Route 104 (Washington Road), and ending at County Road 92 (Hardy McManus Road). Columbia County residents interested in learning more about the proposed project are encouraged to attend the open house and express their thoughts and concerns.
There will be no formal presentation. The public is invited to attend the open house any time between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to view plans and discuss the project with representatives of the DOT.
"We are eager to hear the viewpoints and concerns of all area residents," said Tony Collins, Georgia DOT District Engineer in Tennille. "The Georgia DOT encourages all interested parties to provide their inputs for these projects."
Online plans will also be available on the GDOT website at www.dot.state.ga.us. Choose "Public Outreach", under Public Information, after accessing the GDOT home page.
