AIKEN, S.C. -- A fire broke out tonight at an apartment complex in Aiken around 11 pm (Nov. 17).

The complex is located at 301 Shark Drive.

Two fire trucks responded to the scene and extinguished the fire in 20 minutes.

SCE&G also responded because a powerline caught fire.

Authorities on the scene say the duplex was vacant for the last two weeks, and no one was hurt.

One duplex was destroyed in the blaze.

Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of the fire.
