The race for the South Carolina Senate District 25 seat is getting tighter, but the leader is still the same.
Unofficial results from the four counties in the district show Republican Shane Massey with a 150 vote lead.
At this time, that's not within the one percent margin that would trigger a mandatory recount, but it's close.
The winner of this race will replace former Sen. Tommy Moore, who resigned last summer.
Massey, the leader, is a 32-year-old lawyer and political newcomer.
Bill Clyburn is 66 years old and a veteran Democratic state representative.
It may be tomorrow before the results are certified.
