EDGEFIELD, S.C. --- A man, his wife and his step-daughter are dead tonight after an apparent double homicide-suicide in Edgefield on Tuesday.

The victims are identifies as 44-year-old Robert Lee Herring, his wife 34-year-old Alecia Arangilan-Herring, and Robert's 17-year-old teenage stepdaughter Jade Arangilan.

They all died of a gunshot to the head. Each was shot one time in the head. The stepdaughter and wife were also shot in the chest, according to the Edgefield County Coroner.

Neighbors we talked to today are completely shocked that this happened in their community. Everyone we talked to said they never expected this would happen.

One neighbor says the family was very quiet, keeping to themselves. They tell us they lived in the house for about two years.
