Double Murder-Suicide

A man, his wife, and a teenage girl are dead this morning after an apparent double murder-suicide in Edgefield County. A grandmother found the bodies in their home Tuesday evening on Pickens Road by Parker Elementary School. Investigators say the stepfather is to blame. They believe he sent his other three stepchildren to school before shooting his wife and her teenage daughter twice. He then turned the gun on himself. An autopsy is scheduled for today. The other three children are with relatives this morning.

Shooting Suspects

Deputies are looking for two shooting suspects on the run for a shooting in North Augusta last week at 629 Seymour Drive. 30 year-old Lamont Harris will be charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Francisco Torrellas is also wanted in the shooting of 24 year-old Roderick Collins in North Augusta.

Fast Cash Robbery

Deputies there are still looking for the robber who hit-up the Fast Cash Payday Advance. It happened at 2416 Whiskey Road on Tuesday morning. A man approached a worker while she was emptying trash and forced her back inside. He demanded money and ran away.

M.R.S.A. in C.S.R.A

This morning, there are two unconfirmed cases of M.R.S.A in Richmond County schools, and Columbia County schools have seen twelve cases of the dangerous infection in the last two weeks.
Reports show two cases at Evans High School, two at Greenbrier and Harlem High Schools, and one case at Lakeside High. The middle schools affected are Greenbrier Middle, Grovetown, and Riverside Middle. Blue Ridge Elementary and Grovetown Elementary have also seen a case a piece.

Coat Drive
