NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.---24-year-old Roderick Collins is in the hospital after being shot several times at 629 Seymour Drive just before 9 o'clock last night. Investigators are still searching for two men involved in the shooting.

Deputies say two unknown males went up to Collins at the home, told Collins he was not going to live to tell anyone about the night, and began shooting him.

Collins was hit three times, once in each shoulder and in the left leg, and then the two men left the scene.

The county used bloodhounds to search for the men, but were unsuccessful. They did, however, make one arrest: 48-year-old Diane Wilson was taken into custody after officers say she provided false information to them.

Collins was taken to MCG last night. There's no word yet on his condition.

One man has been living in the neighborhood for about a year. He says, this violence isn't what he wants to see.

"I don't feel too good about it but they don't bother me if I'm bothering nobody."

Another neighbor -- worried.

"it makes me feel terrified cause anytime I can roll home it can happen in the clear blue."

She says she's lived here for 10 years and there's no reason to leave now. But she does admit, she would be safer -- and so would her young daughter and child she is carrying -- if she moved away.
