Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue continues to urge you to save water. He's ordering all state agencies to reduce their water use by ten to 15 percent.
Here's how you can help: take shorter showers, check your toilets for leaks, and wait to run full loads in your washers and dishwashers.
"Folks, every day the Corps of Engineers sends enough water down this river to sustain over ten million Georgia households of a family of four," Perdue said. "Enough water, excess water, goes down this river!"
Perdue says he wants to make sure the federal government is aware Georgia is taking steps to conserve water during the drought.
He held his news conference at a high and dry boat ramp at West Point Lake.
