Aiken County school bus tires slashed

AIKEN, S.C.---Vandals disrupted the start of school this morning in Aiken County. Sometime over the weekend, they slashed 20 tires on more than ten school buses.

Students on four different bus routes were late to school this morning because of it.

Students at Aiken Middle, Chukker Creek Elementary, East Aiken Elementary, Kennedy Middle, Millbrook Elementary, Oakwood-Windsor Elementary, and South Aiken High were affected.

The vandalism, which the Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating, will end up costing up to $9000.
