Mother of Local VA Tech Shooting Victim Heads to Washington
Lettie Clark, mother of Martinez native and Virginia Tech shooting victim Ryan Clark is heading to our nation's capital to push for tougher gun laws.
She'll be there tomorrow, the 6 month anniversary of Ryan's death.
Ryan was the second victim of the campus massacre and died while trying to help a student who lived in his dorm.

Aiken County Death Toll Rises
The death toll on Aiken County roads is now at 36 after a couple of fatal accidents over the weekend.
The most recent happened Sunday on Sudlow Lake Road.
22 year-old Brandon Mosley of North Augusta died at the scene of the one vehicle crash.
The driver, George "Chris" Smalls was taken to MCG.
Investigators say speed and alcohol or drugs could be to blame.
The other deadly accident happenened Saturday on I-20 and exit one.
It claimed the life of 38 year-old Ammie Sedlock.
The crash is still under investigation, but speed could be a factor.
Troopers are also still waiting on toxicology reports.

Armed Robber Sought
Your tips could help Richmond County investigators track down a man suspected in two robberies.
They want to find 36 year-old Terrence Tate.
Investigators say he robbed the Church's on Peach Orchard Road Sunday and the Family Dollar on Gordon Highway Saturday night.
Call the Sheriff's Office if you know where he is.

Investigators Look for Armed Robber
Investigators are looking for a man who held up the Overpass Package Shop on Peach Orchard Road Saturday night.
He was armed with a gun and stole money from the register.
The only description we have is pretty vague: black male, 6'3", and about 180 pounds.

Stolen Guns
Thousands of dollars worth of guns are on the streets this morning after being stolen from Shooters in Augusta.
The suspects stole eight guns Thursday night worth more than $4,000.

Mortgage Fraud Seminar
News 12 is partnering with South Carolina's Department of Consumer Affairs for a free Mortgage Fraud Seminar.
It's going on this Wednesday at Saint John's Methodist Church on Newberry Street in Aiken.
Dinner is from 5:00 to 6:00, and the seminar starts at 6:30.

Shred Fest
Another way to help you stay fraud free is to shred all those old papers you have around the house.
That's why 12 On Your Side is holding another Shred Fest on Saturday, October 20th.
It will be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the shopping center at the corner of Furys Ferry and Baston Road in Evans.
