Possible pot pie danger

October 10, 2007

ConAgra Foods is advising people not to eat Banquet Turkey and Chicken pot pies after reported cases of salmonella.

The company believes the salmonella is caused by undercooking the pot pies. They are revising the cooking labels.

The CDC says other pot pies sold under other names could also be a risk. Look for any pot pies made by ConAgra Foods and check for a printed code ending in "P9". If you have any products matching that description, the CDC recommends that you discard them.

For more information, you can call ConAgra at 866-484-8671 or visit their website at www.conagrafoods.com.
