AIKEN, S.C. --- The Aiken County Coroner's office has confirmed that 25-year-old Timothy Wilson of Silver Bluff Road has died. Wilson died at 4:45pm this evening.

Captain Troy Elwell of the Aiken County Sheriff's Office tells News 12 that Wilson and two other men pulled up in a vehicle to a recording studio in the back area of a home on the 1800 block of Williston Road around 2:30 this morning. Wilson was shot in the head at least one time.

Shell casings from three different weapons were found at the scene. A weapon was also found in the Wilson's car. For several hours this morning investigators continued to search for the small clues that could determine what led up to the shooting.

The two other men in the truck, 23-year-old Devon Jones and 24-year-old Montell Bush, weren't harmed. Officers are not sure who started the shooting.

Captain Elwell says when deputies arrived at the scene, they heard shots. The suspect or suspects fled the scene shortly afterwards.

ACSO says currently they do not have an active description of the shooter(s), nor do they have a motive.

One of the victims in the car told investigators that he saw a green car, possibly a Honda Civic, in the area at the time of the shooting. The victim tell them he believes it may have been the suspects' getaway vehicle.

Bloodhounds were used to help deputies with the search along with New Ellenton Police Department, SLED and State Police.

It's ashame that this is being made into a racial conversation. Though that area may not be the greatest, there are many very sweet people that live there. My job requires me to be in that area often and I've encountered many great people of all ages. As for the happens regeardless of age, sex, or race. I have two white friends sitting in jail right now. We can blame it on the parents, but ultimately, the choices a person makes is theirs and theirs alone! You can be brought up with a great loving family with two parents that spent time with their kids and had rules and morals instilled in the kids, but when that child is away from the parents, you don't always know what they are doing. I've seen this happen with friends of mine. I'm not defending anyone. But people have to be open-minded. We don't know the story. The because he was in that area doesn't mean he was a bad person. As I said, there are many nice people in that area. Let's not judge him.

@ Blue Bandit the reason they were out late is b/c they were @ a recording studio making music like always Tim was @ the wrong place @ the wrong time the guys were after his friend he was just hit in the crossfire that's all Tim was a great guy he also sang in a gospel group Harmony so he always stayed making music.

Sooo RIP Tim, its seems that you are having a problem with your reading comprehension. If you reread MY statements you will plainly see I didn't comment on any part of the article, just on others comments. I don't care if they had to scoop brains up with a shovel or they all kill each other with retaliation.
Now with that being said, what were they doing out at that time of night? Did they work the graveyard? Were they getting off work at that time? And the gun in the car, was it registered or stolen? I didn't accuse your dear "cuz" of anything, but why would someone open fire on another without a motive? There was no mention of a robbery so what was their motive for the shooting?? Three guys all with guns... At the same place and time?? Sounds gang related. Like its always been said, if it looks like it and smells like it, it must be it....

1st off , Tim was my cuz and he was the funniest person i knew. And for you all to say that its just because of Petticoat being a bad place is the reason he was shot ... shame on you. He was INNOCENT and until you know the whole story , you have been dismissed. ---> p.s. BlueBandit , learn the facts before u open ur mouth. Thanks

of all things to fuss about , maybe we look around and see things that we want to have reason to be mad and because we r not happy with our selves and our lives destination and its a shame that you would not remember the story u comment on and someones young life was takin in vain. those that committed that act will be judged twice in life and after. 471 827 404 706 what ever it is let the lord handle the judgements on all persons

lol "Internet racist". This coming from someone playing the race card to make an excuse for criminal behavior. How about they are in jail for being criminals, not for being black. Should their skin color get criminals a free pass? Yeah all blacks are in jail because of skin not because they committed a crime. I guess you just proved college, if it is true you went, can't teach common sense, personal responsibility and morals.
