Volunteer firefighter arrested for theft
We're told that David Hawkins worked at Sears in Thomson. He may face additional charges as deputies continue to investigate more merchandise from the store that could be missing.

THOMSON Ga.-- A volunteer assistant fire chief with the City of Thomson Fire Department was arrested for theft on Monday.

We're told that David Hawkins worked at Sears in Thomson. He may face additional charges as deputies continue to investigate more merchandise from the store that could be missing.

Hawkins has been fired from the fire department.
