WASHINGTON, D.C. – A voluntary recall has been announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Sharp Electronics Corporation. The item being recalled is the Sharp 32-inch LCD-TV.
According to the release, about 9,000 TVs are being recalled because the TV stand’s neck support may break. This would cause the television to tip-over and could cause injuries. At this time, no incidents have been reported.
The televisions involved in the recall are the Sharp 32-inch LCD-TV, model number LC-32SB28UT. The model number, serial number and manufacture dates (March 2010 through April 2010) are printed on a label on the back of the unit. Serial numbers included in the recall can be viewed at www.sharpusa.com. These are the only televisions on the voluntary recall.
If you have one of these televisions, contact Sharp immediately to arrange for a free replacement stand neck support. They can be reached at 800-291-4289.
