AUGUSTA Ga.-- Richmond County Investigators have arrested a man accused of raping a woman near Jordan Road. The incident happened on August 6th. Larry Lanham was arrested on Saturday.

According to the incident report, the victim told an officer that a man was following her as she was walking down Jordan Road. The victim claims she told him to stop following, and he grabbed her and pulled her into a ditch and begin to choke her. The victim said that he told her he would break her neck and kill her, and then forced her to have sex.

The victim then told an officer that another person walked by and she called out for help. When the suspect released her she flagged down a driver and was brought to the North substation on Wrightsboro Road.
