Flu shots available throughout area

October 1, 2007

Temperatures are getting a little cooler, meaning flu season is almost upon us. The Columbia and Richmond County health departments want to make sure you're ready. Flu vaccines will be available starting tomorrow.

Tuesday through Thursday, you can get a shot from 7 am until 7 pm at the Martinez Fire Department, the Appling Health Department, or the Harlem-Grovetown Health Department.

In Richmond County, you can get a vaccine at First Baptist Church.

Shots are $20, and Medicare Part B and Medicaid Dare cards will be accepted.
