Woman loses hair in accident

September 27, 2007

BEECH ISLAND, S.C.---A woman's hair was the only casualty of a collision on Atomic Road that left a car overturned this afternoon.

Aiken County deputies tell News 12 a woman was driving on Atomic Road when another car cut her off. When she swerved to avoid the car, she ran into a tractor trailer, and that collision caused her car to flip. The woman's hair was pinned between her car and the ground, trapping her in the vehicle.

Officials had to cut the woman's hair to get her loose from the car. She suffered no life-threatening injuries.

Each day I start my morning off with prayer and viewing your morning news. I truly enjoy having Meridith and Jeff help jump start my day, not to mention, staying abreast on what is going on in my local area. I wanted to know if all the winners of last weeks Ipod giveaway were announced? In my opinion, this was a great contest that many of the CSRA residents participated in and I think a huge congratulations should be displayed on your website and during the morning news with the names of all contest winners.
