1 stabbed in Augusta home

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- One man is recovering from a stabbing while the suspect is still on the run, deputies said.

Around 6 a.m., deputies were called to Peters Road in Augusta to find Rodriguez Butler, 31, had been stabbed in his abdomen.

According to a report, Butler says he was stabbed by his son's mother, 26-year-old Porshia Edwards. Deputies say she is the suspect in this case but is not in custody at this time.

Butler has been taken to GRU to recover.
