West Nile virus found in Aiken County Save Email Print

AIKEN CTY, S.C.---New figures from the Department of Health and Environmental Control show there have been three cases of West Nile Virus reported in Aiken County. The virus was found in mosquitoes in August.

There was also one case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis found in a horse in Monetta in September.

DHEC officials advise you to continue to take precautions against mosquitoes.
