AUGUSTA--There are several hundred brand new medical professionals ready to hit the world.
783 Medical College of Georgia students donned their caps and gowns at the James Brown Arena today for graduation.
This was the largest graduating class in years, beating last year's total by around 120.
Many of the graduates will head out to other states, but there are some who will stay in the Augusta area.
"Stay close to family and friends and i found a great job already." said graduate Karen Boatright.
"I've lived in augusta for over 8 years and it's home to me. It's a good place to start a family. I look forward to staying here." said graduate Lashon Sturgis.
MCG's first graduating class received their diplomas way back in 1833.
