Augusta, GA---Botox 101 is now in session. Dr Jason Diamond of television's "Dr. 90210" is presiding.

"Beverly Hills right here in Augusta," said Lana Jackson. Doctors from around the country stopped in as students. They were there to learn the latest in surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

Lana Jackson was there as both a student and patient. "I don't want an overdone look. I want something that's subtle...that people may notice maybe they've had something done, but they can't tell what."

"You don't have to look weird. You don't have to look like Joan Rivers or Michael Jackson. You can get work done...go back to work and have your self confidence," said Dr. Jason Diamond.

That's his message, and Lana is sold. She is volunteering for botox injections at age 36.

"You know you get little lines and wrinkles and you don't want those to show up as you get a little older so it's good to get a little injection and take care of it," said Lana.

It's a feeling shared by millions. Cosmetic surgeries have gone up more than 400 percent in the last 10 years. However, if you wanna look pretty be prepared to pay a pretty penny.

"You get what you pay for," said Dr. Diamond.

Botox injections cost anywhere from to $200 to $600 dollars, and before you fork over the cash..."As a patient...you have to do your homework...know who you're going to see. Make sure you've seen their work. Make sure you know what you're getting into," said Dr. Diamond.

Botox is a toxin that paralyzes the muscles, but not to worry says Dr. Diamond. "We're really good at what we're doing now. Our technology, and our knowledge is through the roof."

That's comfort enough for Lana. She says as she grows older that she'll be thinking one thing..."Just a little more botox."

This conference was part of certified medical education training. The conference will run Friday and Saturday. At least 30 doctors signed up for the lecture.
