AUGUSTA---President Obama's stimulus money is going in all sorts of directions. Road projects, small businesses, and even the Savannah River Site.

Now it looks like South Carolina is going to get more money.

About 4 million bucks to encourage people to buy energy efficient appliances.

The idea is to help people lower their electric bills and thus save them money. That money can be used on other things and thus, help stimulate the economy even more. The money is coming from the federal government, but the state will run the program.

The South Carolina Department of Energy says the details are still trickling in right now. There is no set time-line they know of yet and they don't know how the funds will be divided up or how many people will get some of them.

The hope is the program will get started late this year or early next year.

RECALL ALERT

On the recall front, a company called Thane International is recalling its H20 Mop Steam Cleaners.
There are nearly 600 thousand of these out there, so check and make sure you don't have one.

Apparently, the power cord can unexpectedly wear down. That will expose wire and that can create some serious shock and burn risk for you and your family.

So far about 18 people have been hurt.

They were sold in stores, through infomercials, on the web and by QVC from June of 2007 to December of 2008.
