AUGUSTA, Ga.---As John Cooper helps customers decide whether to go green on the roadway, it's more than just his job, it's a way of life.

"For the most part I do. I drive an electric vehicle everyday. I can do stuff like go to work, Walmart, Walgreens, or to the grocery store and all that can be done from the seat of an electric vehicle,"said John who owns GoGreen ZAP.

He drives green everyday and says one of the biggest fears of other drivers is what the electric cars are like on the road. He took me on a test drive and proved, you can go green and still keep up.

"You just get used to going a little bit slower. You realize on Washington Road, during traffic, that everybody that just sped past you is waiting on you at the next red light," said John.

But they won't be waiting for you is at the gas station.

John says the best thing about going green from him, he doesn't have to wait in line to fill up his tank; all he has to do is plug in.

And since the electric cars are equipped with solar panels, they don't use as much energy.

"I just think it's something we all need to pay a little more attention to," said John.

Something else to pay attention to, green stores and green products nearby. Stores like the "Greenway Store" on Washington Road offers all eco-friendly products for the home. And if you can't make it there, local grocery stores also offer green products to help you celebrate Earth day everyday.

"You get used to it. You figure out how far you can go, what you can do with it and the more you use it, the more you like it," said John.

There are also electric bikes and trikes for motorcycle riders to help in the effort to go green.
