Giving it 4ward: Surprising Master's Table

Friday, April 4, 2014

AUGUSTA, Ga (WRDW) - Candye Smith is back and time, Give it 4ward may have chosen the perfect stop.

32 years ago the founder of Golden Harvest Food Bank had a vision to feed people that just couldnt' make it. One man is now living out that mission-- at Master's Table.

That's why Candye Smith thought Manager Richard Stephens was the perfect person for Give it 4ward. She packed up boxes of aprons and bags to give to the staff at Masters Table and made a surprise visit.

"I'm just awestruck," Stephens said. "To be able to know that paying it forward really does pay."

Stephens says the gifts will go to those that spend their free time giving it forward, his volunteers.

"My volunteers are the best volunteers in the world," Stephens said. "They show up and they show out everyday. Candye, thank you. I'm humbled. To be able to be chosen for the Master's Table to recieve these gifts, is a blessing and it will be paid forward."
