AUGUSTA,Ga---When was the last time someone gave you cash with no strings attached? That's exactly what happened to unsuspecting local shoppers Wednesday.
Candye Smith is back on her mission to Give it 4Ward.
"Happy Thanksgiving," cried Candye Smith. "I'm at the Augusta Exchange. I'm here to put a smile on your face."
Give it 4Ward hit the streets to surprise unsuspecting shoppers.
"Oh lord," said shopper Isaiah Daniels.
"Aww," cried Ralph Bullard. "I've seen this woman on television, and I like her."
"Money is in one of these envelopes," said Candye. "You have to pick the lucky envelope."
"Which one has the money in it," replied Bullard with a smile. "I'm gonna take this one."
"Be our guest," read Bullard out loud. "A Chic-fil-a gift card...love it."
The cash prize was still up for grabs.
Dorothy Dunbar snagged the envelope with $20.00 cash.
"Sometimes you can receive a blessing, and you're not even expecting it," said Dunbar. "God is good."
"Just to have somebody give something to you for free is a lot to be thankful for," said Ashley Whitney. "It's a very big blessing."
"I like it," said Bullard of the Give it 4Ward concept. "I think you ought to do it more often."
"You never know where Give it 4Ward will show up next," said Candye.
Candye also surprised shoppers with Give it 4Ward cards valued at $350. The cards provide free deals at Papa Johns, Arbys, Domino's, Baskin Robbins, Checkers, Sonic, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Monkey Joe's, Hungry Howie's, Blimpie, Brunswick National Lanes, Sears, Jiffy Lube, and Player's Pass.
