AUGUSTA,Ga---A local woman's mission to Give it 4Ward takes News 12 to the Family Y.

On a hot summer day it doesn't get much cooler than playing in the pool until Give it 4Ward stops by the Family Y.

"A new place," said Give it 4Ward organizer Candye Smith. "Another random act of kindness."

Candye brought free flip flops.

"It's cool," was the general response.

"Yeah," said Alexis Fieldhouse. "Because you get something and you help somebody else."

Giving it 4Ward encourages recipients of random acts of kindness to look for other ways to give back.

"Times are tough for a lot of people," said Ken Fieldhouse. "We need a lot more random acts of kindness."

The only thing causing a bigger splash than the water park was the 200 free flip flops that were scooped up fast.

"I was like wow," said Millie Schumacher with the Family Y. "It was just a wonderful concept. The opportunity to do something special in a tangible way for our members is really exciting for us."

"Hey," said Travis Gordon. "Anything free...I will take it."

"It's all about giving," reminds Candye. "Each one. Reach one. It's awesome. 200 shoes went in less than an hour. I can't wait for the next event."
