I try to create a theme for our grocery segments. However, at times it just is not possible especially when I do the “new product” reviews. This is truly a mix of products but they all caught my eye for one reason or another.
-Buddy Fruits: This is individually packaged pure blended fruit with no sugar added, no preservatives, colorings, additives or any other artificial ingredients. It is in a BPA-free recyclable container that is non-perishable and portable. It is a bit on the pricey side at $1 each. However, I do love to keep things like this on hand for rushed lunch box ideas, portable snacks to go or travel. They come in three flavors: Mango Passion & Banana, Apple & Strawberry and Apple & Banana.
-Land O Lakes Cinnamon Sugar Butter Spread: This is a mix of sweet cream with canola oil and cinnamon/sugar. This is a great option for toast or glazed carrots and on baked potatoes.
-Seafood Stock: I was just excited to see this on the shelf because as much as I like to cook, I just do not make seafood stock. It is lower in sodium than most other broths with 480 mg sodium/serving. I have a feeling a lower-sodium version may also be in the works -- we will have to wait and see. Until then, this can easily be worked into a lower-sodium diet.
I hope you find these product reviews somewhat helpful. Until next time: Eat well, live well!
