How You Can Help

Housing:

Augusta is already home to one Fisher House. It has 7 rooms and is 98% occupied.

It is a home away from home for the families of wounded warriors, and now Augusta’s Uptown VA is planning on a second Fisher House location. This new home would house 21 families of wounded warriors, and they are currently raising $1.8 million dollars to build it.

The Fisher House Foundation is matching local donations, and construction will begin as soon as the funds are raised. To find out more about the Uptown VA Fisher House project, email Kim Hoge at kimberly.hoge@va.gov.
