Augusta, GA---The number of wounded warriors coming to Augusta for care and treatment has remained steady, according to a spokeswoman for Eisenhower Army Medical Center.

That number has been steady at five or six per week, according to Eisenhower Army Medical Center's Public Affairs Office. They do expect the numbers of wounded troops coming to Augusta to increase slightly in the next few weeks.

News 12 has featured wounded warriors like Spc. Crystal Davis, who lost her leg in an IED blast in Ramadi Iraq. She was among those transferred out of Walter Reed to Augusta's Uptown VA Active Duty Rehabilitation Unit. Spc. Davis was on a walker when she arrived in Augusta, and within three weeks was on her prosthetic full time. News 12 has spoken with Spc. Davis recently and she reports she's studying in order to get into physical therapy school so she can help wounded veterans like herself.
