Dean Lucy Marion of the Medical College of Georgia and former News 12 anchor Laurie Ott, executive director of the CSRA Wounded Warrior Care Project, met with Congressman Paul Broun to present the "Augusta model" to the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

One piece of that puzzle is the increased role MCG would play in educating and training nurses for the unique needs of wounded warriors and their families.
