GRANITEVILLE, S.C. -- A man was taken to the hospital after getting shot in Warrenville Friday night.

Deputies were called to the scene around 7:45 p.m. on the 100 block of Wattle Street.

When they got there, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his lower back. He said he was standing on the street when an unknown black male in an SUV drove by and shot him. He was then taken to the hospital.

There is no word on the victim's condition.
