Man arrested for solicitation after being banned at other store for asking to smell feet
Leaphart is a registered sex offender with a conviction for committing/attempting lewd act on a child under 16 from a 2000 incident.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- North Augusta Public Safety has arrested Joey Leaphart of Langley on charges of solicitation.

Leaphart is accused of approaching women in North Augusta Plaza last Friday and asking for money.

Leaphart was put on trespass notice at the Aiken Walmart earlier that week after several women accused him of approaching them and asking to smell and kiss their feet.

Leaphart is a registered sex offender with a conviction for committing/attempting lewd act on a child under 16 from a 2000 incident.

North Augusta Public Safety says anyone who knows of any similar encounters with Leaphart should contact local law enforcement immediately.
