AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The man wanted for attacking a Richmond County school bus driver is in jail three counties away.
The school system says Emanuel County deputies picked up Robert Williams.
He is the man accused of assaulting Dominique Moss last week. Richmond County school officers say the attack occurred while Moss was waiting for help with students who were causing problems.
She was parked at the Dollar General on Deans Bridge Road. Officers say Williams came up saying his child was on the bus and he wanted him released. That is against school policy, so Moss said no. Investigators say that's when Williams punched Moss in the shoulder and tried to pull her out of the window.
News 12 did some checking and found Williams is a registered sex offender. He was supposed to be wearing a tracking monitor on his ankle, but officers say he removed it.
